Less trains for Delhi-Guwahati: Passengers suffering

People of North East always suffer from less rail transportation and they have to fight for reservation. While north eastern regions are integral part of India and maximum military and civilian transportation being go on 365 days from Delhi to Guwahati and Guwahati to Delhi. All trains of north east region pass through the Bihar and West Bengal. People who belongs to eastern Bihar and northern Bengal are step in those trains of Delhi-Guwahati because there is not enough trains for those region, except two or three trains. Thus, they prefer to those trains. Even Rail Ministry knows very well that people from Bihar and Bengal comes in maximum number for the purpose of service and education.

Interestingly, every zone gets new more trains for reducing crowd and easier transportation, whenever Rail Budget proposed in Parliament, but north east doesn't get a single train. Its bad luck to our Railway that every ministers make focus on their area and introduce new trains, whenever a Rail Minister takes oath, while they should work without partiality because he lives in one nation and one interest.

While north east zone needs more train to make easier transportation for the public interest. Still there is only four direct trains (Brahamput Mail, Northeast Express, Awadh Assam Express and including Rajdhani Express) for Delhi-Guwahati, and a single train (Mahananda Express)to Alipurdwar Jn from Delhi. While two more weekly trains are NJP-Anand Vihar and Kishanganj-Ajmer (Via Delhi). Even day to day crowds become the subject worry in north east area for Delhi arrival.

Actually the reason of crowd is that all the trains are full of maximum number of commuters from Barauni, Begusarai, Kathiar, Kishanganj. Migration ratio is very high toward Delhi for the purpose of education and service. The story is not stopped here obviously Railway generates the more revenue from ticketing because more people make journey every single day. Instead of this government's third eye is not being turned with new trains towards north east zone.

Rail Budget 2012

The dramatic Rail budget 2012 tabled in the Parliament as well as ignoring all people's interest and security concerns which should have most prime necessity. Where Railway needs the security and safety first toward nation and passengers' interest. But, repeatedly bill proposed as like as every year of budget. In fact the Prime Minister's statement is that, " Budget is forward looking", while he is a famous economist. Does Manmohan Singh not aware of inflation rate and who people are mostly touches with railway.

Even every one knows that around 65% of population use rail routes, where around 55% out of 65% belongs to middle class and below poverty line and rest 10% commuters are use above AC 3 tier or Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express. While Ministry of Railway can generate the enough revenues from other area likewise advertisement, goods train, dormitory and etc.On the other hand honorable Railway Minister ignored safety and security concerns in proposed bill, which is  very crucial.

Ticketing System is influenced by Ticket Mafias

As we know that Indian Railway is back bone of Indian people and we (includes with poor class or upper class) can not imagine our development without Rail, and any kind of change being done then it directly hits the common man in every manner. Whether in fare, number of trains, time table, or safety and security system and etc.

Last 16 years scenario has been changed in Indian Railway. Ticket Mafias are making their grip strongly and our RPF personnel and Rail administration are fail to stop such kind of criminals who are spreading their illegal business in free manner. Today situation has become worst and result is that a common man gets the ticket much costlier as compare to actual price which had fixed by Ministry of Indian Railway. The reason is that, all tickets are being booked earlier (90 days before) by ticket mafias of busier routes. In fact they are very genius and they booked the tickets on different names. when a common man reaches at counter for journey ticket and he does not get the reservation. Later on mafias will sale the same on their own price (much profitable rate) to concern man. Helpless man buys it in compulsion because he is needy.

Here question is being arise that, does he complaint or contact to station authority for intimation such crimes, while this is his duty to stop the illegal job by confirming the same to concern authority, but in general manner no one is dare to complaint against the mafias and booking clerks who are deeply involved in this kind job, some time station authority knows every thing but don't try take action against those culprits.

Now time has come to stop illegal ticketing business with strong action. Ministry of Railway have to per posed a strong bill in parliament and take needful action towards national interest and people of India.

Less Level Crossing

Level Crossings are very important in view of security and area consumption or hampering of general road traffics. Now the time has come that Level crossings are being reduce and make some other alternate that general traffic does not affected and no requirement of closing gates being apply before trains running in fast and technological age where every one wants to become fastest first then why Indian Rail will be on back foot.
Ministry of Railway should take modern approach and need to change some old conventions (Level Crossing).

Some time level crossings are become the cause of inconvenience among general public who stands alongside the level crossing and think that when the gate will open and they resume their movement. During this session they are suffer unnecessarily and it hamper their precious time or work. 

If Indian Railways use subway or flyway instead of Level Crossings then Indian Railway can save the space and utilize the new area of subway or flyway and will generate more revenues. It will be possible if Ministry of Railway purpose the plan and implement it through the construction of required alternate and make positions of small kind of stalls or shops and then allot the same on rent. On the other hand Rail Traffic Operation will make smoother. My personal experience and I have seen many a times a man who sits inside the Station Manager's room and again and again he coordinates with Gate Man  for closing of level crossings whenever trains are running, in spite of busier schedule and lots of pressure over him. If level crossing will be reduce then make sure unnecessary loads are minimize from Stn. Manager and Indian Railway can maximize its revenue area.

Indian Railway needs more security.

Indian Railway needs more and tightened  security within railway premises including trains and rail tracks . It will help in less miss-happening and prevent from naxal or any kind of terror attacks. In security point of view Indian Railway needs fencing and roadway (approximate 10 feet wide) alongside the tracks in sensitive zones or Naxal and terror affected areas. As well as to make better security, Indian Railway will have to depute more RPF personnel according to requirement.

So many benefits will come out, if such steps are taken by Ministry of Railway. Likewise .............
   Crime and miss-happening will reduce, when more and well trained security personnel deputed on required area, like station premises being always a common target for unsocial or unrest elements to make bother among  public.

   Fencing reduce the naxalites attack and nobody can cross the restricted area. Unwanted business will stop alongside the track.

   If road will pave alongside the Rail tracks then RPF personnel can petrol and guards the Rail property easily.  In fact security personnel can make post after a specific interval for better guarding.

   On the other hand, in case of accident. The rescue or backup team can reach there easily through roadways because during accident hours tracks are busier and keep detention of other trains unnecessarily until the situation comes under control.

MODERNIZATION OF RAILWAY PROTECTION FORCE

Indian Railway needs the modernization of RPF with well equipped and required technology which brings use sharply like other paramilitary forces. RPF structure must be like NSG and other Special Forces, because Rail is the common target of Anti Social and Anti National elements and several times it has come under the trap and deadly pay for it.

Their training must be as commando that can face the situation individually and crack the happening easier. Still the hot topic is that either Railway Protection Force will give the power of Police likewise GRP. If RPF will get this authority, then first ever paramilitary force works as a Police organization or not. While Railway Protection Force needs the specialization in best security force rather than a Policization, for the safety of passengers, precious Railway assets and save the nation interest.


Now will see the rail budget what result comes out in April.
